Cawdor Castle’s organic food festival called”Living Food at Cawdor Castle” is on Saturday 27 Sep 2008. There are food stalls selling organic produce, organic meals and drink for sale plus there is music, lectures and children’s entertainment.www.cawdorcastle.com  There may be a scaled down version of Carrbridge Live this coming September – but smaller than 2007 as funding is still to be confirmed, the organisers told Dougal – so keep an eye on their website www.carrbridge-arts.co.uk/live.htm  A great attraction nearby for kids is Landmark Forest Theme park – www.landmark-centre.co.uk – Dougal’s kids love it!  In addition, www.greaterspeyside.com and www.visitaviemore.com are both useful for further information.

Hi Dougal, I'm hoping you can give me some advice. We're going to a wedding in Glasgow in July and I had been planning to spend a week's holiday in Arran beforehand. However, my husband is prone to severe attacks from any biting insects and we'll have our new baby with us so I'm rather worried about the midges at that time of year.
