What is the highest mountain from this list:Ben Shean, Ben Ledi,Ben Vorlich or Ben Lawyers?
Asked by kim sharp hunter on 23 July 2008
Ben Lawers is the highest at 1214 metres (3984ft). In Scottish terms that’s pretty big. It’s famous for its alpine plants and is in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. All the hills you mention are in the Callander / Lochearnhead / Killin area.

Hi Dougal, I'm hoping you can give me some advice. We're going to a wedding in Glasgow in July and I had been planning to spend a week's holiday in Arran beforehand. However, my husband is prone to severe attacks from any biting insects and we'll have our new baby with us so I'm rather worried about the midges at that time of year. Is there anywhere you can suggest that offers beautiful scenery, not too far from Glasgow where we're unlikely to be eaten alive? Many thanks, Jo

Ask you can see I'm a misplaced Dougal (I live in the the US). I was wondering if there was anywhere I could find out about my family's history.
