“I couldn't agree more about the qualities of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Both the venues in Edinburgh are fabulous places for all occasions from a quiet coffee and read of the papers to lively whisky tastings and dinner for a large group. The service is excellent with friendly and knowledgable staff who won't intimidate you and are keen to advise on the whisky (and wine too for non whisky drinkers). My tip for non members is to book dinner for the early evening menu on a Thursday night (non members can book a Thurs) at 28 Queen St.”
