Salmon Cottage self catering cottage, Kinghorn, Fife
“We booked Salmon Cottage direct from the owners website and Mary & George made us feel welcome from the very start. The cottage sits in an enviable position right on the beach within a natural little harbour. When we arrived at the property their housekeeper 'Jess' gave us a warm Scottish welcome and she really made us feel at home. We have no hesitation in recomending it to anyone, but we really want to keep it a secret all to ourselves. Tom & Jean Cargill & the girls.”

Little Carron Cottage B&B, St Andrews
“We have just come back from our second visit to Little Carron Cottage. The socond visit was even better than the first and have booked again for a third time. The hospitality shown by Jim and Linda is second to none and the standard of Accomadation is fantastic. The room we get doesn't just comprise a bedroom and an ensuite bathroom -it includes your own private lounge, really handy for that extra space, and it has french doors that lead straight out you own part of the garden and patio which you are welcome to use. Not only is the standard of accomdation well above the 4* it's the little extras that make the real differnce (bowl of strawberries and lovely fresh flowers). I cannot go on enough about this fantastic place.”

Redlands Lodge, Ladybank, Fife
“Along with another couple we spent 2 very comfortable night here. A warm welcome from Kate with tea and biscuits in the ample outside seating area. The cabins are well appointed and have access to the cosy sitting room with TV, books and games. In the visitor's book, most visitors had remarked on the splendid breakfasts and we were not disappointed. But how does Alan cook these mushrooms? The hot tub will have to wait for another visit!”

The Spindrift Anstruther
The Spindrift Anstruther“This accommodation far exceeded any other Bed and Breakfast that we have stayed in in Scotland. From the minute you arrive you are made to feel welcome and the food is 100% Scottish and as much as you can eat. A good place for a true Scottish experience”

Bramley House B&B, Strathkinness
“Glad to have found a site like this to leave feedback about good service! We stayed at Bramley House, Strathkinness, just outside St Andrews, Fife, for two holidays, while it was under the ownership of Heather McLean. It was absolutely the very best B&B we have ever stayed in with lovely rooms, with sweets and whisky provided, gorgeous furnishings and bathrooms and, most importantly, fantastic breakfasts and a hostess who could not do enough for you. Heather appears to have left now, the B&B is under new management/ownership - I hope they maintain the standards set by Heather. I would also like to praise the children's play area in Strathkinness - when we were last there it was great, brand new, no vandalism, no damage and safe. We are visiting Strathkinness again this year (2007) and hope to find it in the same condition, it was a real credit to the village.”

“Bramley House is where we stayed for 5 nights in March 2008 and it was an absolute dream,I worked in the hotel trade for 25 years as an inspector.Im now retired, but if I was still in the trade and visited Bramley House, I would give them top grading. The house is very clean, and the service is excellent ”

“We stayed at Bramley House in the village of Strathkinness. The owners David & Phiw Holloway made our hoiday. The service they provided was second to none. The whole house was spotless, the breakfasts were outstanding, and Phiw's omelettes are first class. We have stayed in other 4 **** rated Guest Houses before, but Bramley House is at another level. The tourist board should certainly seriously consider awarding this wonderful house 5***** Since staying there we have had freinds who have been there and have the same thoughts on the place. David is a golf professional and took my husband George for a round of golf which included 4 hours of coaching. It improved his game enormously and its something he often talks about. We cant wait to go back there again this year.”

The kind, thoughtful and caring folk of St Andrews.
“My wife and I (expatriates) were on a nostalgic visit to St Andrews in April 2006. I stumbled just before the kerb and fell, severely bruising my left side. It was amazing the number of people who immediately dashed to my rescue. Kind, thoughtful and caring St Andrewsonians. I was helped up and after protestations of my being ok most of them left but a few stayed to make sure I was ok. Funnily enough the person who actually helped me up was an Australian medic. We continued on our tour and returned to Canada 3 weeks later. Scotland is still our favourite holiday place. Thank you.”

Kinburn Guest House, St Andrews
“This beautiful property in St Andrews oozes Scottish charm and elegance but it has a delightfully unpretentious and friendly atmosphere. The hosts are welcoming and helpful but very unobtrusive and the presentation of the rooms and exceptional attention to detail makes this one of the best B&B experiences I've ever had. If you've got a few nights to spend in St Andrews, Kinburn Guest House is a real treat. ”
